*This picture has nothing to do with the post, other than that it represents music. D’ya know what I mean?*
I’ve been moaning a lot about not getting into new music or artists. I know that and I probably will do that for the rest of my life. But I also like to explore new music. This doesn’t mean that it has to be new artists or genre of music. I also want to explore in the new albums of artists I already know or rate. So yeah, thumbs up to me!
My music taste is non-existent. I don’t mean that in a way that I don’t appreciate good music, nah in no way do I mean that. But I don’t know how to put my finger on it, I just like music when it sounds right. Is that weird to say? I guess so. No matter. There are three albums I’m really looking forward of coming out to be honest. I have no idea what they will sound like, but that’s so exciting! More exciting then the goal Archie Gemmill made in ’74 (Trainspotting reference right there).
Album: Boys Don’t Cry
Release date: August 5th
This isn’t exactly music I would listen all the time to be honest. It isn’t exactly music I would label as something you could listen anytime, you have to be in the right mood for it. But that’s my humble opinion. I’m in no way a music expert, but I just like the vibe to Frank Ocean’s music somehow. PRAYING it will be good, because levels mate. Scenes.
Young the Giant
Album: Home of the Strange
Release date: August 12th
If you are into indie music or alternative rock music, this is a perfect band for you to listen. I know them for some time now, but I’ve been told not many people know them. There’s a bit of Arctic Monkeys in there, a little twist of the Kaiser Chiefs & Franz Ferdinand as well. Proper excited for their new album, but they have released a single in July already? It’s really good.Fam you get me? Legendary.
De La Soul
Album: And the Anonymous Nobody
Release date: August 26th
This is basically a large throwback to my childhood and the beginning of my adolescent life. I’m only 24, but this rap is amazing! It’s also called more Jazzrap than regular rap. But it’s just..Flexin’. Stylin’. With a perfect beat under the lyrics, I truly love it and I was quite surprised to hear that they were going to make another album. It was like Christmas in August. It’s Christmas in August mates!
I’m going to do a full album review on these three albums in the weeks to come, but I thought this was a pretty good point to start my music blogging malarkey from to be honest. Hope you’ll enjoy!
